We have two lives, the second begins when we realize we only have one.
In the first life, we tread with care,
Bound by fears, we rarely dare.
We strive for more, yet miss the sight,
Of simple joys, the pure delight.
Time, we think, is endless, vast,
We will find peace, but not too fast.
In the second life, the truth takes hold,
We see the world in hues of gold.
Each moment precious, bright,
We seize the day, embrace the night.
No longer bound by what might be,
We live our truth, authentically.
With every breath, a grateful sigh,
For we have learned to live, not just to try.
